Dot Cod Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar

Bar, Freshly Made, Interior Design, Seafood
Dot Cod Seafood Restaurant & Oyster Bar reopens in Central with a marine-chic reboot. If you’ve been missing oysters and comfort-seafood drama in Central, Dot Cod is back—loudly (and cutely) with a refreshed look and a more refined menu. Since opening in 2000 in the basement of Prince’s Building, it’s always been a date-night kind of spot for seafood lovers—think couples sharing something briny while finance folks do their post-work decompression.
The original Central run closed in August 2024, but after a short reset, the restaurant reopened with a minimalist, marine-animal themed interior. The revamped lineup leans into sustainability and customization. You can go for fish from Australia, cooked exactly to your preference—thanks to eco-minded American chef Jeffrey LeBon. Want it Chinese-style? Yep: opt for steamed with ginger and spring onion, or ask the chef for the best method for that particular catch.
Comfort never left: the beloved Dot Cod Fish Pie is still on the menu. New highlights include divers’ scallops with celery root mousse, plus lemon sole baked with a full-on seafood stuffing (crab, prawn, lobster) and finished with a champagne sauce, salmon roe and caviar.
Price: 300 – 400 HKD
