Sushi Zinc

Japan, Lovers, Traditional, Set menu, Fine Dining
Hidden in an alley next to Shau Kei Wan’s Tin Hau Temple, Sushi Zinc is a new, intimate omakase restaurant with eight seats. It offers contemporary Japanese cuisine with Italian influences, featuring locally caught seafood. Diners can enjoy flavors from Japan and local catches like grouper from Po Toi Island and mantis shrimp from the Ninepin Islands. Highlights include kelp-poached Nagasaki Karen oyster, Shima ebi shrimp tart, and semi-dried mehikari. The meal ends with a unique tamagoyaki and hojicha panna cotta. Chef Zinc Leung, trained in both Japanese and Italian techniques, leads the restaurant, encouraging experimental dishes. Sushi Zinc occupies the former space of Sushi Mori Tomoaki and showcases a 20-course omakase menu blending Italian and Japanese traditions. Leung collaborates with local seafood expert Davey Wong, featuring local delicacies like mantis prawn, orange spotted grouper, and fish maw tempura, along with premium Japanese fish cuts.
