Sick! Burger Lands in Central with a Fine Dining Twist.
The burger scene in Central just got a whole lot bolder. Hong Kong’s cult-favourite gourmet burger brand Sick! Burger has officially arrived at BaseHall 01 in Jardine House, bringing chef-driven creations that are equal parts indulgent and inventive.
Helmed by Chef Lai Chunwan, who once trained under Michelin-starred chef Tom Aikens and served as Chef de Cuisine at The Hong Kong Club, Sick! Burger proves that fine dining sensibilities can elevate comfort food. Since opening its first shop in Ma On Shan (2021) and expanding to Causeway Bay (2023), the brand has amassed a loyal following of burger lovers who crave its stacked patties, nostalgic milkshakes, and playful sides.
At BaseHall, diners can expect signature burgers with house-made ketchup, caramelised onions in Madeira wine, and beef patties boosted with ponzu sauce. Exclusive shakes—ranging from taro soy milk to durian peanut butter—add a quirky touch that reflects Chef Lai’s creativity. Even after trading tweezers for a spatula, he continues to infuse each burger with finesse, proving that Sick! Burger is more than just fast food—it’s a chef’s playful rebellion.
