SAFFRON Persian Cuisine

Casual diner, Traditional, Mediterranean, Meat lover
Saffron: A Rare Taste of Persia in Hong Kong Tucked away in Hong Kong’s vibrant dining scene, Saffron Persian Cuisine is a culinary gem bringing the rare and refined flavours of Persia to the city. Opened in 2019 by an Iranian team, this is Hong Kong’s first and only dedicated Persian restaurant—a place where centuries-old recipes meet modern refinement.
The menu offers a deeply aromatic journey through authentic Persian dishes, from savoury stews to delicately grilled meats. Highlights include the Lamb Koobideh and Chicken Koobideh, both hand-shaped from halal-certified meat, and the Bakhtiari kebab, a satisfying mix of tender beef and chicken. Everything is prepared without preservatives or additives, staying true to tradition.
Saffron takes its name from the world’s most precious spice—harvested by hand from 14,000 crocus flowers to produce just one ounce. This prized ingredient is flown in directly from Iran, infusing the dishes with its signature floral, earthy aroma. You’ll taste it in their slow-cooked stews, creamy dips, and barbecued meats, which are never fried or overly oiled.
What sets Saffron apart is its balance: bold flavour without heaviness, ancient recipes prepared with a health-conscious touch. Whether dining in or catering for an event, Saffron offers a rare opportunity to experience the true spirit of Persian cuisine, rooted in history and elevated by care.
