Maison Libanaise — A Taste of Beirut in the Heart of SoHo
Step off the bustling Central–Mid-Levels escalator and you’ll find Maison Libanaise, a three-story Lebanese restaurant that captures the golden charm of 1960s Beirut. The mosaic-tiled floors, high ceilings, and soft glow of hanging lights evoke the warmth of a Mediterranean home, while the rooftop terrace—“La Buvette”—is the perfect hideaway for sunset drinks beneath fairy lights.
Inside, expect a lively mix of couples and groups sharing an abundance of colourful mezze and charcoal-grilled dishes. Everything from the creamy hummus and smoky baba ganoush to the freshly baked pita is made in-house. For heartier fare, the slow-roasted lamb shoulder, za’atar fried chicken, and grilled kebabs steal the show. The indulgent halloumi with honey is pure comfort on a plate.
The drinks list shines with Lebanese wines from Chateau Ksara and inventive cocktails like the “Beirut Fizz”, a refreshing blend of gin, lime, and Champagne. Service is warm and effortlessly smooth—just like the olive oil drizzled over every dish.
At the helm is Chef Teya Mikhael, whose roots in northern Lebanon and passion for heritage cooking shape every plate. Whether you stop by for a quick kebab at Le Comptoir or linger over mezze at Le Salon, Maison Libanaise is a love letter to Lebanese hospitality—vibrant, generous, and timeless.
