Le Garçon Saigon: Saigonese Flavours with a Parisian Soul Le Garçon Saigon celebrates the vibrant, fresh flavours of southern Vietnamese cuisine in a bright space that channels the elegance of a chic Parisian brasserie. Located on the edge of Star Street, the restaurant blends Vietnamese culinary heritage with subtle French influences — a nod to Saigon’s colonial past.
Led by Vietnamese-Australian chef Bao La, the menu focuses on Saigonese grilling culture, placing freshness and balance at the forefront. Expect crisp, herb-packed salads in place of predictable pho, alongside grilled meats, seafood and vegetables designed to be wrapped DIY-style with rice paper, lettuce, herbs and vermicelli. Homemade sauces add acidity and depth, making each bite customisable and interactive.
Standout dishes include vibrant green papaya salad, beautifully charred grilled plates, and the restaurant’s signature bánh xèo — a golden turmeric-hued rice crepe filled with prawns, herbs and bean sprouts, made for sharing. Desserts lean into the French connection, with pandan waffles served alongside mascarpone ice cream.
With its open frontage, mosaic tiles and relaxed energy, Le Garçon Saigon offers a refreshing, modern take on Vietnamese dining — flavour-driven, social, and effortlessly stylish.
