It’s an Tokyo-based restaurant chain Dohtonbori, famous for its okonomiyaki — seasoned pancakes containing vegetables, meat and seafood It serves up the same fare as the restaurant in Japan, including the signature ‘Dohtonbori Mix Okonomiyaki,’ filled with pork, shrimp, octopus and other ingredients, and the ‘Veggie and Pork Okonomiyaki.’ The restaurant is looking to appeal to customers aesthetic sense with a set of dishes that, in Japan, are only available at a restaurant in Tokyo’s upmarket Hiroo district. They include a pancake topped with grated radish in the shape of Mount Fuji and another containing white rice, garlic and rice cakes. The restaurant uses the same recipes and seasonings as its domestic branches, and the wheat flour used for the batter and specially blended sauces are imported from Japan.
