A Taste of Good News: Bushra Brings the Middle East to Tsim Sha Tsui
Bushra, named after the Arabic word for “good news,” is bringing a golden slice of Middle Eastern glamour to Tsim Sha Tsui East. With expansive shisha terraces, a two-level dining experience, and vibrant lounge-club vibes, this new restaurant and bar merges the traditional and the contemporary with style.
The kitchen is led by three chefs from Morocco, Egypt, and Lebanon—El Mehdi Zenasni, Sakr Tamer, and Najib Farkhoury—who collaborate to serve rich dishes inspired by their home countries. Guests are welcomed with cold and hot mezze like smoky moutabal, tangy muhammara, and lamb kebabs. Signature mains include a Moroccan beef tajine, Persian chicken pilaf with saffron and cinnamon, and oven-baked seabass. A highlight is the use of a traditional tandoori oven and the Galaktoboureko dessert—semolina, filo, lemon syrup, and pistachio—served warm with ice cream.
The drinks list is equally thoughtful. Cocktail expert Sandeep Kumar, founder of the award-winning The Wise King, has designed a menu infused with Middle Eastern spices and flair.
Visually, Bushra is a feast in itself. MAG Studio’s dazzling design blends golden hues, curved architecture, and Mughal-style wooden gates. A secret garden and shisha area lead to a private dining room and VIP terrace, while DJs and belly dancers animate the evenings with a touch of Beirut nightlife.
Bushra isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience of Arabian hospitality and bold culinary heritage, with a view of Hong Kong’s skyline.
