Blue Bottle Coffee has landed in Taikoo with a cafe that feels like a love letter to the city—literally stitched into the design. Opening 15 May, the new Blue Bottle Coffee Taikoo Cafe is built around the concept of “Hong Kong Street,” a concept that connects Eastern and Western cultures through details like wrought iron, folding doors, and decorative frames. The space’s real showstopper is the grid structure: it reinterprets traditional scaffolding, bamboo-weaving, and ironwork patterns in a modern key, so every glance lands on something urban, layered, and unmistakably local.

What you order matters here too. The headline beverage is the cafe’s first Hong Kong launch of KYOTO-STYLE ESPRESSO—cold by design. Instead of forcing extraction, it uses Kyoto-inspired slow cold extraction with deliberate cold water flow through finely tuned espresso grounds. The payoff? An iced espresso that stays composed even under ice—sweetness forward, texture steady, clarity intact. At the time of writing, Kyoto-Style Espresso is available at Blue Bottle Singapore and the Hong Kong Taikoo cafe, served in Iced Latte and Iced Mocha made with this method.

Local craft also takes the spotlight. Through a collaboration with LOUUD, a Hong Kong metalsmith brand recognized as intangible cultural heritage, the cafe introduces limited-edition galvanized iron keychains—small, collectible pieces with warm industrial character.
