The University Museum and Art Gallery (UMAG) aims to create artistic and cultural experiences that are easily accessible to people from diverse backgrounds. UMAG’s mission is to educate students of the Hong Kong University and the wider public through art-historical research, teaching, and the display and interpretation of its permanent collection, as well as through notable temporary exhibitions. The Museum is dedicated to achieving its mission by raising public awareness and sharing knowledge of traditional, modern, and contemporary art to enrich educational opportunities. It also seeks to build relationships with artists, collectors, museum professionals, and interested organizations to enhance its collections, exhibitions, and educational programs.
