Welcome to HK Tipster! By using our app or website, you agree to the following terms:
1. Free Service
HK Tipster is a free app that curates local tips, pet-friendly places, and lifestyle spots in Hong Kong. We do not sell products or collect payments.
2. Content & Accuracy
We do our best to share accurate and up-to-date information. However, we cannot guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free.
3. Third-Party Links
Some places listed may include external links. We’re not responsible for their content, services, or policies.
4. Submissions
If you suggest a spot or send us feedback, you give us permission to use it to improve the app or share with our community.
5. Use of the App
You agree not to misuse the app or its content in any unlawful or harmful way.
6. Privacy
We care about your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy to understand how we handle your data.
To resolve this violation, update your privacy policy to explain how users can request that data be deleted.
If you don’t respond with the requested information before the due date, your app will be restricted. Your app will not be reinstated until we have completed our review and confirmed that the violation is resolved.
7. Updates
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the app means you accept the latest version.
8. Data Deletion Request
If you would like to request the deletion of your personal data, you may do so through either of the following methods:
- In-App: Go to the app, navigate to Account > Destroy My Account. This will initiate the deletion process of your account and associated personal data.
- By Email: You may also request data deletion by contacting us at benoit@hktispter.com. Please include your account details so we can identify and process your request promptly.
We will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Data collection & usage
We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we process. When you use our app, we may collect information such as your email address (if provided), device details (model, operating system, app version, crash logs), usage data (session length, interaction patterns), and location data (only if you grant permission). This data is used to operate and improve the app, fix bugs, provide support, analyse usage, and comply with legal requirements. We do not sell your personal data. It may be shared with service providers who support our operations or with legal authorities if required. You have the right to access, update, or delete your data. To erase your data, you can do so directly within the app by going to Account > Modify > Erase Data, or by sending a request to benoit@hktipster.com.
