Beach, Lazy Sunday, Camping, Dog hikes
Tai Long Wan, located on the east coast of the Sai Kung Peninsula, comprises four beaches: Sai Wan, Ham Tin Wan, Tai Wan, and Tung Wan. Enjoy sunbathing, surfing, hiking, and camping under the stars at this secluded spot. To reach Tai Long Wan, start by taking a bus to Sai Wan Pavilion. From there, embark on a short hike of about 40 minutes to reach the beaches. The hike is mostly flat or downhill, with one uphill section. Beginning at Sai Wan beach, you can walk to Ham Tin beach in about 30 to 40 minutes, then to Tai Wan in another 15 minutes, and finally to Tung Wan in an additional 30 minutes. These remote beaches have no facilities, restaurants, or toilets. To return home, hike back to Sai Wan Pavilion and find a taxi or take a minibus to Sai Kung town. Alternatively, book a speedboat from Ham Tin or Sai Wan beach for a more convenient option.
