Omnia: A Lebanese Wish Come True in Soho
Chef Nadim Hamze, the culinary force behind Sumac, returns with Omnia, a new Lebanese restaurant that brings soulful Levantine cuisine to the heart of Soho. Meaning “wish” in Arabic, Omnia is a refined yet deeply personal expression of Hamze’s culinary roots — and it’s already making waves.
Spread across two levels on Staunton Street, the space is as warm and welcoming as the food. Upstairs, a lively counter invites guests for quick mezze and a glass of arak; downstairs, a moodier dining room nestled beneath arches and adorned with handcrafted tiles evokes the intimacy of a Beirut family home.
The menu is vibrant, generous, and full of thoughtful twists. Traditional mezze like baba gannouj, falafel, and labneh shine alongside more creative fare — think salmon kibbeh or a black chickpea hummus topped with roasted mushrooms. The mixed grill is a showstopper, with lamb chops, chicken taouk, and beef kafta grilled to perfection and best enjoyed with spicy potatoes on the side.
Desserts are just as compelling, from ashta cream and golden kunafa to a pistachio cheesecake that blends indulgence with nostalgia. Omnia is not just a restaurant — it’s a celebration of heritage, hospitality, and the evolution of Lebanese cuisine.
