Migas: Mediterranean Energy Returns to H Queen’s
Mediterranean restaurant-bar Migas marks a lively new chapter at H Queen’s, taking over the former Ichu space with confidence, colour, and a distinctly social spirit. Led by chef Eduardo Guiterrez in collaboration with Elite Concepts of Yè Shanghai fame, Migas channels Spanish and broader Mediterranean flavours through a modern, crowd-pleasing lens.
The space sets the tone immediately. Think retro 80s-inspired interiors in warm orange and red hues, an oversized terrace built for long lunches and late nights, and DJs spinning to keep the energy high. It’s a setting designed as much for atmosphere as it is for food.
The menu leans into tapas culture, beginning with vermuteria-style small plates. A lemon-garlic white bean dip gets a sharp lift from red chimichurri, while Norwegian salmon rillettes deliver clean, oceanic richness. Mains are robust yet balanced: the king mackerel brochette is firm and meaty, anchored by smoky romesco, while wagyu steak tartare stays classic, finished with a subtle mackerel-driven umami kick.
Roast dishes are quiet highlights, including cod with brandade-stuffed piquillo peppers and roasted chicken perfumed with Omani dried lime. With a well-priced set lunch and a playful, high-energy vibe, Migas successfully restores buzz to this Central address, offering a Mediterranean lifestyle that feels fun, familiar, and effortlessly social.
