LOLA MARIA

Spanish, Sharing, Interior Design, Western food
A New Spanish Soul on Hollywood Road Opening this February on Hollywood Road, Lola Maria brings a vibrant new expression of Spanish dining to Hong Kong. Founded by internationally acclaimed chef Edgard Sanuy Barahona, the restaurant is rooted in contrast — where tradition meets modern creativity.
The concept is guided by two personas: Lola, bold and contemporary, and Maria, warm and deeply traditional. Together, they shape a menu that respects classic Spanish flavours while embracing innovation. Drawing on over two decades of culinary experience across Europe and Asia, Chef Barahona presents Spanish cuisine that feels elevated yet approachable, designed for sharing and connection.
The menu centres on platillos — small and large plates made for the table. Expect comforting favourites like ajillo garlic shrimps, padrón peppers and Spanish omelette with chistorra, alongside playful reinterpretations such as foie “collverd” with Negroni notes and a Madrid-style baby squid sando. A focused Spanish wine list, house-made sangria and classic cocktails complete the experience.
Set within a warm, earthy interior, Lola Maria offers an intimate yet lively space that encourages lingering meals, conversation and spontaneous gatherings — a heartfelt taste of Spain in the heart of Hollywood Road.
