Dara, a modern Filipino restaurant, has reopened in a larger location in Sai Ying Pun, introducing Hongkongers to the cuisine of Pampanga, the culinary capital of the Philippines. Named after the Kapampangan word for ‘aunt’, the family-run establishment is led by executive chef Imelda Bunoan (Auntie Mel) and head chef Ginno Castro. The menu features beloved Filipino dishes like sinigang and sisig, along with Filipino-inspired cocktails. The space includes a whiskey bar area and contemporary designs reminiscent of classic Philippine colonial architecture.
