Bobby’s Rabble – A Bar Built on Friendship and Fun.
At the heart of Hong Kong’s nightlife, Bobby’s Rabble is the kind of bar that feels like a friend’s living room — if that friend happened to throw the best parties in town. Originally opened on Peel Street in 2015 before relocating to Wyndham Street two years later, this lively watering hole was born from an idea by founder David McEwan (known simply as Dave) and a group of 40 friends who each chipped in to bring the vision to life. The name says it all: “Bobby” is a nod to Sir Robert Peel, the street’s namesake, while “Rabble” pays tribute to the crew who built it.
The result? A bar that radiates community spirit. Whether you’re there for after-work drinks, comedy nights, or live music and DJ sets on weekends, Bobby’s Rabble guarantees good vibes and even better company. Don’t miss the Comedy UnPopped shows or the monthly Bitches in Stitches all-female comedy night for guaranteed laughs. Drinks flow easily during the happy hour ($50 house pours from 5–7pm), paired with comforting bar bites like sliders and wings.
Beyond the beer taps — including craft bottles from local favourites like Moonzen Brewery — Bobby’s Rabble’s greatest strength lies in its people. It’s a space where strangers quickly become regulars, and regulars soon feel like family. “The friendliness between us founders rubs off on customers,” says Dave. “Even if you weren’t part of it at first, you’ll soon feel like you belong.” With a relaxed atmosphere, honest drinks, and a touch of nostalgia, Bobby’s Rabble continues to prove that great bars are built not just on bricks and beer, but on camaraderie and laughter.
