Bar Leone

Cocktail, After work, Trendy, Award Winner
In a welcome twist, some of Hong Kong’s top bartenders are finally opening their dream venues. Among the June highlights is The Savory Project in SoHo, from the team behind the renowned COA in Sheung Wan. It offers classic cocktails with a back-to-basics approach, focusing on quality ingredients and simplicity. Founder Lorenzo Antinori describes it as a “neighbourhood bar you can return to again and again”. Signature drinks include the Leone martini and a revived Bellini, served traditionally in a small tumbler like at Venice’s iconic Harry’s Bar. Antinori’s second bar, Bar Leone, has already made waves. It debuted at No.1 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars and won the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award – a first in the award’s history. With its warm, Roman bar-inspired setting and “cocktail popolari” philosophy, Bar Leone offers approachable, seasonal drinks with minimalist garnishes. The bar snacks, from smoked olives to chicken liver with peach vermouth jelly, are reason enough to visit.
