8055: ANALOGUE SOUL IN LAN KWAI FONG
Back in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, 8055 returns with a welcome antidote to formulaic club nights. Founded by longtime friends Brian and Ah Hei, the cult vinyl bar previously built loyal followings in Wan Chai and Causeway Bay, drawing creatives and music heads alike — from Eason Chan to Tyson Yoshi.
After a pandemic pause, 8055 reopens with the same analogue-first philosophy: real vinyl, warm crackle, and DJs who dig deep. Expect Japanese hip-hop, jazz, funk, city pop and left-field electronic selections — a refreshing shift from predictable EDM drops. The space blends Japanese chill drinking culture with graffiti-tagged walls, inviting guests to leave their own mark.
Drinks centre on premium Japanese whiskies and umeshu, with a crisp umeshu soda as the signature serve. Prefer to hand over control? Go omakase-style and let the bartender decide.
Part record bar, part creative canvas, 8055 brings texture — both sonic and visual — back to Hong Kong’s nightlife.
