Monster building

The Monster Building, nicknamed by locals, is not a single building but an E-shaped complex consisting of five connected structures: Oceanic Mansion, Fook Cheong Building, Montane Mansion, Yick Cheong Building, and Yick Fat Building.Constructed during the 1960s population boom, they provided government-subsidized housing for low-income residents, the upper floors served as residences while the lower floors housed shops selling tea, fish, and groceries.Due to its photogenic symmetry and striking architecture, the building has become a popular spot for photographer and has also been featured in several films, including Ghost in the Shell and Transformers.
